Hotly Anticipated Intelligent Hospital to Open Next Week

Only days away from its February 20th launch, the highly anticipated Intelligent Hospital Pavilion, sponsored by the RFID in Healthcare Consortium and HIMSS, has shared a behind the scenes preview of their 11,000 square foot Pavilion.

Out of the hundreds of vendors at the HIMSS12 conference next week, there is only one place where you can see how all these new products and technologies work together in the real world.  This holistic view of an actual hospital environment is the reason this year’s Intelligent Hospital Pavilion is sure to be packed with visitors.

In addition to providing insights into how radio-frequency ID (RFID), real-time locating systems (RTLS), sensors, wireless, and other technologies fit into hospital operating rooms, visitors can also see how patient information can be captured in perioperative environments, and then seamlessly delivered to clinicians’ smartphones or tablets.

“The key is getting hospital administrators and other health care professionals to understand and embrace what is possible with technology integration in our health care delivery system today,” said Keley John Booth, Vice President of Perioperative Clinical Care, who designed the Pavilion based on his actual clinical experience using many of these technologies.

The Intelligent Hospital Pavilion is located at Booth 12442, Lower Level Hall G and will be operating each day during the conference.
