Exemplifying a Spirit of Transformation

Dr. Keley John Booth, Chief Medical Consultant of Surgery Logistics, was recently awarded the Oklahoma Hospital Association 2011 Spirit of Transformation Award for developing an integrated communications and logistics solution that literally transformed the perioperative experience for patients and health professionals at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center.

Dr. Booth was nominated by Marva Harrison, INTEGRIS assistant vice-president. “Through years of work and process changes, Dr. Booth has developed an integrated solution that acts as the primary communication and logistics support tool for the analysis and management of the perioperative environment at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical Center,” she said in the nomination.

The OHA Spirit of Transformation Award was given to health professionals who served as catalysts for change, provided a visionary approach to redesigning and transforming systems and care, found more cost-effective ways to deliver quality care, demonstrated extraordinary creativity in the delivery of care through improvement of service and quality, pioneered new practices and ideas and fostered transformational thinking among team members.
